Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This is a provisional privacy notice for our private beta. It describes what we collect today and will be expanded and reviewed by legal counsel before public launch.

Who we are

Backtest360 (“we”, “us”) provides a quantitative backtesting platform, currently available by invitation during a private beta.

What we collect

We collect information you provide directly, together with limited privacy-friendly usage analytics (see Cookies & tracking):

  • Your email address when you join the waitlist or request access.
  • Optionally, your name, role, experience level, account type, markets of interest, and intended use — only fields you fill in.
  • API credentials we generate and store, associated with your account, to provide access to platform services.
  • Basic, privacy-friendly usage analytics (see Cookies & tracking).
  • When you request access, limited technical and attribution data — your IP address, approximate location (country), device/browser (user-agent), and the referring page or campaign (referrer/UTM) — used to prevent abuse and understand where signups come from.

We do not collect payment information during the beta.

How we use it

To operate the beta (grant access and issue API keys), to contact you about access and product updates, to respond to your enquiries, and to understand and improve the product.

Legal basis

Where UK/EU data protection law applies, we rely on your consent (given when you submit a form) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of trusted providers (sub-processors):

  • Supabase — database hosting.
  • Resend — transactional and product emails.
  • Plausible — privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Cookies & tracking

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies used are strictly necessary to keep the site functioning.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, or export your data; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; and unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time (every such email includes an unsubscribe link). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to operate the beta, provide access, communicate with users, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time. Abuse-prevention data such as your raw IP address is kept only for a short period and then deleted.

International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country by the providers listed above; we rely on their standard contractual safeguards.
