Who we are
Backtest360 (“we”, “us”) provides a quantitative backtesting platform, currently available by invitation during a private beta.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@backtest360.com.
What we collect
We collect information you provide directly, together with limited technical and usage information needed to operate and improve the beta.
This may include:
- Your email address when you join the waitlist or request access.
- Optionally, your name, role, experience level, account type, markets of interest, and intended use — only fields you choose to complete.
- API keys, token identifiers, or related access credentials associated with your account, so we can provide and manage access to platform services.
- Strategy rules, configuration settings, uploaded data, backtest inputs, generated results, exports, diagnostics, and related metadata created when you use Backtest360.
- Basic, privacy-friendly usage analytics, as described in Cookies & tracking.
- When you request access or use the service, limited technical and attribution data such as your IP address, approximate location at country level, device/browser information, referring page, and campaign parameters, used to prevent abuse, secure the service, and understand where signups come from.
- If you use AI-assisted features, we may process strategy descriptions, prompts, settings, results, diagnostics, and related outputs to provide those features.
We do not collect payment information during the beta.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Operate the beta, grant access, issue and manage API keys, and provide platform services.
- Run backtests, generate results, provide analytics, exports, diagnostics, and AI-assisted guidance.
- Contact you about access, onboarding, product updates, feedback, support, and beta participation.
- Understand usage, improve the product, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security.
- Maintain records needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations.
Legal basis
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on:
- Consent, where you submit a form, join the waitlist, request access, or subscribe to non-essential communications.
- Legitimate interests, where we operate, secure, improve, and administer the beta, respond to enquiries, prevent abuse, and understand product usage.
- Contract or steps prior to contract, where processing is necessary to provide access to the beta or related services you request.
- Legal obligation, where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted providers to help operate the service:
- Supabase — database hosting and backend infrastructure.
- Resend — transactional and product emails.
- Plausible — privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
If additional infrastructure, AI, analytics, hosting, support, or monitoring providers are added during the beta, we may update this notice.
Cookies & tracking
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Any cookies or similar technologies used by the site are limited to those needed to keep the site functioning, maintain security, remember essential preferences, or provide services you request.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; and unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
Every non-essential product or marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to operate the beta, provide access, communicate with users, maintain security, improve the product, and meet legal obligations.
You may request deletion at any time.
Technical and abuse-prevention data, such as raw IP addresses, is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, analytics, and operational purposes, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to investigate misuse.
International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country by the providers listed above. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards used by those providers.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and beta platform data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should avoid submitting unnecessary personal, confidential, or sensitive information.
Changes
We may update this notice as Backtest360 develops, as beta functionality changes, or before a wider public launch. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
